Community Outreach at All Saints’

When you see our outreach activities at All Saints’ what we hope becomes apparent is our attempt to share our good fortune locally, nationally and globally. You may also notice that our outreach includes both volunteer-supported programs as well as monetary donations. We seek a healthy balance of both.

All Saints’ Church is enveloped by a geographical portion of Philadelphia which includes both poverty and affluence. The needs of the impoverished go without saying and there are more hands held out than we can touch. Consequently we have to choose carefully, based on our resources, how we can help.

The majority of our efforts are guided towards a goal of implementing programs to help others. Examples include:

  • St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church “Lunch with Our Neighbors” Program.
  • The Somerton Interfaith Food Bank
  • The Breathing Room
  • Caring For Friends
  • All Saints’ Food Pantry
    • Located in our drive-up circle, this outdoor pantry is continuously re-filled with community donations of non-perishable food items that are available to anyone stopping by. We encourage all to “give what you can – take what you need.”

Agency Support

There are other agencies we support. All of our efforts are grounded in Jesus’ words recorded in Matthew 25:35
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”
